Welcome to the group projects site for History 106: Atlantic World for fall 2016 at Gettysburg College. Throughout this semester, students have worked on research related to food production, distribution, and consumption in the Atlantic World, c. 1500-1850. In the sites presented here, students use historical maps from the Stuckenberg Collection in the Special Collections Department of Musselman Library to create narratives about the impact of Atlantic empires and colonies on global agriculture and diets.
